About Mark
Mark began his career at CH Robinson in 1992. He spent 23 years at this Fortune 250 powerhouse, learning all aspects of the logistics industry, eventually becoming a General Manager at their flagship Orange County branch.
From there, he worked for two more big players – Yusen Logistics and Re-Trans/Kune-Nagel – before deciding to launch a new endeavor. On meeting the board of RDS (formerly Rail Delivery Service) in 2019, he accepted the challenge of helping to launch their first-ever brokerage division. It is here that he began working with CSUF Professor Dave Porter, who sits on the Board of Directors for RDS.
Today, RDS Logistics – located in Brea – is a thriving brokerage with 36 employees, offering multiple service lines and a broad customer base. From his early days building loads for a 3-person branch at Robinson, to his current run as a partner and C-suite executive, Mark has gained valuable insight into an industry he loves.
Why AOSCM?
As a member of the AOSCM Board, he sees the mutual benefit of connecting students and faculty with industry professionals. He is proud of his involvement with the group and believes that AOSCM is on track to become the most popular, well-run and best-funded industry association on campus.
